Chittagong University Alumni Association of Canada Inc. started operation in Toronto, Canada in the year 2003 with a vision to establish this organization as a socio-cultural organization and the single platform to unite all former students of Chittagong University living in Canada and their families.

During this long journey, from a very humble start, the organization has grown exponentially and has so far 400 registered members including 176 life members.

The organization regularly arranges cultural programme to celebrate Bangladesh and Canadian National Days. It also arranges annual picnics, drama, kid’s talent show, family nights, etc. to keep members and their families entertained and engaged in the activities of the organization.

The organization participated in many city-run activities like City Cleaning in cooperation in City of Toronto. The organization also arranged seminars before the last two Federal elections in cooperation with the Elections Canada to create awareness of voting among the members of the organization and the community.

The organization has also got itself engaged in philanthropic activities and has donated Bangladesh Taka 10 Lacs or C$ 15,875.00 to the Chittagong University to develop its medical center to treat Covid-19 patients of the University and the nearby localities in the wake of the Pandemic.

The organization hopes to expand its activities further in the coming days and get engaged in many other social and cultural activities in the main stream Canada.
